About this pack

Aztec ornament is geometry with rules. Stepped frets, interlocking meanders, registers that repeat at a fixed rhythm — improvise it and the result looks wrong to anyone who has seen the real thing. This kit is a hundred Aztec border motifs drawn as clean greyscale relief, then wrapped for the three places an artist actually applies a border: as an alpha, as a roll brush in ZBrush, and as a parametric brush in Substance.

What you get

  • 100 Aztec border patterns as PSD and PNG alphas, 16-bit
  • 100 ZBP roll brushes for ZBrush
  • 100 SBSAR brushes for Substance
  • 100 preview renders, one per pattern

For sculpted work the roll brush is the fast route. Draw a stroke along a lintel, a rim or a step and the motif advances along the curve at constant scale instead of stretching to fit — that is what rolling buys you, and it is the difference between a border and a smear. Masking by polygroup first stops the pattern wrapping around a corner it was never meant to turn.

For textured work the SBSAR is the one to reach for. It carries the motif as an adjustable brush rather than a fixed stamp, so tiling, contrast and depth can be tuned inside Painter while you watch the result land on the model. The layered PSD covers everything else: Photoshop compositing, a Designer graph, ZBrush surface noise, or any package that accepts a greyscale image at sixteen bits without complaint.

Version requirements are worth knowing before you buy. The ZBrush brushes need 2018 or later. The SBSAR files want 2018 or above as well, but the Substance brush workflow specifically requires Adobe Substance 3D version 7 or newer, because that is the release the brush format arrived in. The collection was built jointly by Mirage3Dart and Milad Kambari.

Every purchase includes free lifetime updates and a no-questions-asked 7 day money back guarantee.

About Textures & Patterns

These packs cover the surface detail that generators cannot invent for you. Every pattern is seamless in both axes, authored from height data first so the normal and ambient occlusion maps agree with each other, and tuned for even contrast across the whole set.

Use them as stencils, projections, trim strips or straight tiling fills. They work in Substance Painter and Designer, ZBrush, Blender and any DCC that reads a PNG.
