About this pack

A wooden crate is the most reused prop in the business. Warehouses, docks, market stalls, cellars, cargo holds and every RPG storeroom are built out of them, which is exactly why one crate copied thirty times is so obvious — the eye picks up the repeated knot and the identical broken slat immediately. This collection gives you twenty-five distinct builds instead: slatted, banded, lidded, battered and stacked, from tea-chest proportions up to a shipping crate.

Two sets in one download

  • 25 wood crate models in Single Mode, each a standalone build
  • A Modular Mode set of 25 models sharing one texture arrangement
  • FBX and OBJ, ready for any package
  • Triangle counts from 43,044 to 198,708 per model
  • A preview render for every crate

Single Mode is for hero placement — the crate the player walks up to, the one in the establishing shot. Modular Mode exists for the other case, where forty crates fill a room and each extra material is a draw call you would rather not spend: those models are arranged to be textured together, so one set of maps dresses the whole stack.

The triangle counts are high on purpose. Plank chamfers, nail heads, split corners and the gaps between boards are modelled rather than implied, which makes these ideal bake sources — bring the mesh in as the highpoly, bake down to a game-ready box, and the silhouette and the ambient occlusion come along for free. For a background stack the geometry decimates gracefully, because the detail sits in the form rather than in the density.

The crates arrive untextured, as the previews show. If you would rather not surface them yourself, the same twenty-five models are sold with a full texture set as a separate edition on this site.

Every purchase includes free lifetime updates and a no-questions-asked 7 day money back guarantee.

About Base Meshes

A base mesh exists to delete the boring part of the job. Everything in this aisle is at real-world scale with quad-dominant topology, sensible edge flow and no ngons where they would cause shading errors — ready to sculpt over, kitbash from, or take straight to UVs.
