About this pack

Procedural is the operative word. These twenty-seven wood surfaces are generated inside Substance Painter rather than tiled from photographs, which means no repeating knot gives the trick away down the length of a plank, the grain scale can be matched to whatever your UVs are actually doing, and one material covers a floorboard and a chair leg without either of them looking stretched.

What you get

  • 27 procedural wood smart materials in SPSM format
  • Compatible with Substance Painter version 12 and above
  • JPG preview renders for every material
  • Layer stacks, blend modes and parameters left editable

The twenty-seven cover species and condition together. On the timber side there is warm oak planking, deep red mahogany, golden grain, dark charred ebony and cracked dry wood; on the weathering side, weathered grey boards, frosty blue aged wood, damp mossy wood, peeling paint over timber, and worn edge highlights that catch where hands and furniture have rubbed a surface back.

This is a set for environment work above all. A tavern interior, a ship deck, a fence line or a market stall needs a dozen woods that are recognisably from the same world but visibly different ages, and drawing them out of one procedural family is the quickest honest route there. Drop a material onto the mesh, then adjust in order: grain scale first so the wood suits the object's real size, then the amount of weathering, then the colour temperature to sit under your lighting.

Every material comes with its own preview render, so the choice can be made by eye before anything is committed to a mesh. The renders used for the product poster are not part of the download.

Every purchase includes free lifetime updates and a no-questions-asked 7 day money back guarantee.

About Smart Materials

Every set in this aisle is built the way I build materials for client work: layered, parametric and non-destructive. Nothing is baked flat, so you can open any material and change the base colour, the wear amount or the roughness breakup without starting over.

Each material ships alongside a rendered 4K PBR texture set — base colour, roughness, metallic, normal and height — so you can use it outside Substance Painter in Blender, Unreal, Unity or any renderer that speaks PBR.
