About this pack

The volume the Middle East relief series opens on: 34 carvings out of the ancient Persian and Mesopotamian world, each one both a sculpting brush and a finished mesh. Persepolis panels, lion hunt scenes and royal portraits are the vocabulary an archaeological set or a historical prop is built from, and hand-sculpting a single one of them costs a day.

In the download

  • 34 relief panels, each a brush and a model
  • 4K alpha brushes for sculpting at full detail
  • ZBrush brushes for working directly onto a surface
  • FBX and OBJ meshes, game-ready for real-time engines
  • Blender scenes with materials assigned
  • Highpoly sculpts with the surface information intact
  • JPG renders of all models, poster renders excepted

Named in the set: Persian king bust reliefs, Faravahar winged symbol carvings, Mesopotamian lion hunt scenes, Persepolis-style panels, mythological serpent guardian reliefs, bearded warrior medallions, horseback battle scenes, royal court ceremonial carvings, ornamental floral Persian motifs and sacred ancient ruler portraits.

The usual route is to block out a wall, a plinth or a door in whatever package you model in, stamp the relief on as a height alpha, and bake it to a normal map — no extra geometry in the shipped scene, and the carving still catches a raking light the way cut stone does. Where the camera comes close enough that a normal map gives itself away, the supplied mesh drops in as real geometry and matches the alpha exactly, because it is the sculpt the alpha was rendered from.

Volume 02 continues the series with a different set of designs, so the two can dress one site without a motif repeating.

Every purchase includes free lifetime updates and a no-questions-asked 7 day money back guarantee.

About Alphas & Brushes

These sets are the finishing detail that decides whether an asset reads as real. The alphas are rendered from actual geometry rather than traced from photos, so edges stay crisp under projection and the height data holds up when you push it into a normal map.

Brush presets are included for both Substance Painter and ZBrush, with spacing and falloff already dialled in.
