About this pack

Forty-two East Asian relief carvings, supplied twice over: once as a 4K alpha brush you can stamp onto a surface, and once as the highpoly mesh that alpha was taken from. The subject is Chinese ornament — the lattice, symbol and medallion work that covers a temple door, a window screen or a courtyard gate — so the pack suits an environment artist dressing architecture rather than anyone sculpting a single hero prop.

What you get

  • 42 relief designs, each supplied as an alpha brush and as a 3D mesh
  • Alpha brushes at 4K, so a carving still reads at close range
  • ZBrush brushes, ready to load and stamp
  • FBX meshes, optimised for real-time engines
  • Blender files with their materials already assigned
  • PSD sources, for editing an alpha before it is used
  • Highpoly sculpts carrying the full surface information
  • A JPG render of every model, apart from the presentation posters

The designs run through Chinese lattice patterns, Shou longevity symbols, double happiness carvings, dragon medallions, geometric window screens, ancient coin motifs, calligraphy stone reliefs, floral mandala patterns, interlocking knot ornaments and traditional gate decorations.

Most of the work these do is done as alphas. Load the 4K height map into a ZBrush brush or a Substance Painter height channel, stamp the ornament where the panel wants it, and bake the result down onto the game mesh. Where a carving has to read in silhouette — a screen the camera moves past, a gate panel seen edge-on — the FBX or the Blender file goes into the scene instead, and the two routes can be mixed across one building without the ornament changing character.

Nothing needs preparing first. The brushes load, the Blender files open with materials on them, and the PSDs are there for the times a pattern has to be re-cut to fit a panel that is not the size you expected.

Every purchase includes free lifetime updates and a no-questions-asked 7 day money back guarantee.

About Alphas & Brushes

These sets are the finishing detail that decides whether an asset reads as real. The alphas are rendered from actual geometry rather than traced from photos, so edges stay crisp under projection and the height data holds up when you push it into a normal map.

Brush presets are included for both Substance Painter and ZBrush, with spacing and falloff already dialled in.
