About this pack

Volume 12 carries fifty ornament designs, and it is the volume to reach for if your texturing lives inside Substance. Alongside the flat maps it ships an SBSAR, so the set arrives in Painter or Designer as a parameter you can drive rather than a folder of images you have to import one at a time.

Used as a substance, the ornaments stop being decals. Expose the alpha as an input in Designer, feed it through a tile sampler or a splatter node, and one design becomes a border, a repeating frieze or a scattered field of motifs with a single graph. Feed the result into a height output and the whole thing bakes into a normal map with no modelling at all. In Painter the same SBSAR sits in a fill layer, where the ornament can be scaled and rotated live against the model and re-driven when the art direction changes, which it will.

Formats and resolution

  • 50 brushes
  • 4K, 4096 x 4096
  • 16 bit
  • SBSAR
  • ZBrush brush, Blender, PSD, PNG, TIF, OBJ, MAX, JPEG preview
  • 3D models in OBJ, MAX and Blender
  • Highpoly

The flat versions are all still there for the work Substance is not the right tool for. The PSD keeps the design editable if you want to cut a piece out of it or recombine two, the TIF holds the full bit depth for displacement, and the ZBrush brush is the fastest route when you are sculpting by eye rather than assembling a material.

And where a stamped ornament will not hold — an undercut, a deep relief, a silhouette that has to break the outline of the surface — the highpoly geometry is in the pack for the same fifty designs.

Every purchase includes free lifetime updates and a no-questions-asked 7 day money back guarantee.

About Alphas & Brushes

These sets are the finishing detail that decides whether an asset reads as real. The alphas are rendered from actual geometry rather than traced from photos, so edges stay crisp under projection and the height data holds up when you push it into a normal map.

Brush presets are included for both Substance Painter and ZBrush, with spacing and falloff already dialled in.
