About this pack

The sixth volume of the ornament toolkit, and the one built around runs rather than single motifs. Ornament on a real object is rarely one stamp — it is a border that follows an edge, a band that wraps a column, a frame that turns four corners — and doing that by hand is where the hours go.

What you get

  • 50 ornament alpha brushes
  • 50 ZBrush IMM brushes, the same designs as geometry
  • Every alpha at 4K, 4096 x 4096, and 16 bit
  • 3D models in OBJ and MAX
  • ZBrush brush and IMM files, plus PSD, PNG and TIF
  • JPEG previews of the whole set

The two halves answer the same problem from opposite ends. The alphas are for surfaces: drag one across a plane in ZBrush or drop it into the height channel in Substance Painter and the ornament sinks into the material. The IMM brushes are for edges: with the brush in curve mode, draw a stroke along the lip of a shield, the rim of a plinth or the spine of a scabbard and ZBrush repeats the mesh along it, at whatever spacing and scale you set, as real geometry with a real silhouette.

That second route is what makes a trim brush worth having over a plain alpha. A run drawn as geometry can be re-drawn, re-spaced and re-scaled after the fact without repainting anything, and it bakes to a low-poly version with correct shading around the corners, where a stamped alpha always flattens.

One requirement: the ZBrush brushes need ZBrush 2018 or later. The OBJ and MAX models carry the same designs into Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D or Mari for anyone working outside ZBrush.

Every purchase includes free lifetime updates and a no-questions-asked 7 day money back guarantee.

About Alphas & Brushes

These sets are the finishing detail that decides whether an asset reads as real. The alphas are rendered from actual geometry rather than traced from photos, so edges stay crisp under projection and the height data holds up when you push it into a normal map.

Brush presets are included for both Substance Painter and ZBrush, with spacing and falloff already dialled in.
