About this pack

A mining cart, start to finish, in nine hours. It is the shortest of the full-process tutorials the studio sells and the most reasonable way into the format: one prop, a clean four-stage route through Blender, Rizom UV, Substance Painter and Marmoset Toolbag 4, and no chapter long enough to lose the thread in.

The five parts

  • Five video archives, Part 01 through Part 05
  • 5 hours of modelling in Blender
  • 2 hours of unwrapping in Rizom UV
  • 2 hours of texturing and rendering
  • UDIM and overlap unwrapping applied to a small asset
  • Marmoset Toolbag 4 used for the final render

Modelling stays in object mode for most of the five hours. A proxy is blocked out with box modelling techniques and the work after that is about arriving at the final shape without adding geometry that earns nothing — a discipline that sounds obvious written down and is the thing most often skipped on props of this size.

The unwrap is where the tutorial makes its case. This is not a large asset, but it has repeated slats and identical fittings, so UDIM tiles plus overlapping shells buy back texture resolution that a single naive layout would waste. Substance Painter picks the project up with the UV tile option and textures across the tiles together, and the last stretch moves into Marmoset Toolbag 4 for the render.

The stated level is intermediate, though the modest length makes it a fair first purchase if you have used Blender and Substance Painter separately and want to watch them joined up on something finite. The project files and the finished cart are not included. All video is silent: no voice-over and no subtitle track.

Every purchase includes free lifetime updates and a no-questions-asked 7 day money back guarantee.

About Tutorials

Each tutorial follows one asset from start to finish in real time. Every decision is explained as it is made, so you can see not just what was done but why that approach was chosen over the alternatives.
