Hardsurface Tutorial Collection — VOL 03 - Scifi Helmet
Hardsurface Tutorial Collection VOL 03 takes a sci-fi helmet from 2D concept to finished hard-surface mesh in 270 unnarrated minutes of 3ds Max.
Volume two of the Golden Tips series turns to soft surfaces and to speed. Two of the three sessions are cloth — a shawl and a pair of tactical boots — and the third is a working method rather than a subject: an exploded-model setup that makes a complicated asset far quicker to texture. Each session arrives as its own archive with the Substance Painter project that produced it.
The shawl session is the longest and the most transferable. A scarf from the studio's base mesh collection is textured from flat to finished using fabric patterns, stitch tools and beadwork, and it also covers something few cloth tutorials go near: generating and altering pattern artwork in Midjourney and other AI-assisted tools, then bringing it back into Substance Painter as usable material input.
The workflow session is the one that repays the purchase fastest. Exploding a model — separating its parts in space before texturing — sounds trivial and changes how workable a dense asset is, because masks, projections and bakes stop interfering with one another. The smart material that comes with it is reusable on anything you texture afterwards.
Video is full HD throughout. Since the project files are included, the pack can be used from either end: follow a session from the first fill layer, or open the finished project and read the layer stack backwards to see what was done and in which order. The Marmoset Toolbag scenes ship for the same reason, so the presentation renders are reproducible rather than a matter of guesswork.
Every purchase includes free lifetime updates and a no-questions-asked 7 day money back guarantee.
Each tutorial follows one asset from start to finish in real time. Every decision is explained as it is made, so you can see not just what was done but why that approach was chosen over the alternatives.
